I am all too aware that no organisation operates in isolation. Indeed, our business prides itself on the relationships it builds, and interaction it has with, employees, customers, suppliers and stakeholders. Our Double delight Sustainability plan is about managing these relationships to produce an overall positive impact on society, whilst adding value to the business and those involved with it.

When the business began in 1999 it was based on a promise to delight our customers – not an idle boast since 98% of customers say they would recommend and use the company’s services again.

I have always believed that the staff are key to our success and am confident that they will embrace the initiatives outlined in our plan with the same enthusiasm and dedication that they have delivered to the growth of the company

Alongside this year’s activity we will be working with our stakeholders to develop our plans for the next five years still further and I look forward to hearing all the views.

Yours sincerely

Diana

Sustainability has become a key part of our business operations and behaviours and we have set out a clear and simple plan below of how we are going to tackle sustainability.

We have already switched to a hybrid company car fleet, engaged in social and eco-friendly purchasing. We have pledged to switch to green energy across our sites with our head office already now using Ecotricity energy – the greenest energy supplier in the UK.

Carbon literacy training

We are committed to educating our staff to develop a carbon literate workforce, and are delighted to be working with Positive Planet and  The Carbon Literacy Project to do this.

Evidence shows that undertaking carbon literacy training can reduce an individuals carbon footprint by 10-15%. We are dedicated to training our staff, partners and suppliers to have a positive carbon reduction impact across our supply chain.

We are proud that we are now a Silver Carbon Literate Organisation and can move towards developing a further strategy to become Gold Accredited.

Our Care Team

We talk about working hard and playing hard which is why we have a dedicated team with a specific focus on employee well being and social activities. Our Care team members undergo Mental Health first aid training and offer advice and support where possible to team members in time of needs.

This maybe a walk in the park or over one of our care drop in coffee sessions. They also manage our social budget and plan our staff fun days and parties. Whether it be a ramble and pint, silent disco, casino evening or family fun rounders BBQ we try to cater for everyone!
